BIO

Jack Bromell is an Italian-Australian born in Mount Lawley (1992) and raised in the coastal city of Busselton, Western Australia. Much of his childhood was spent outdoors, exploring the South West region with his family. Aside from attending art classes at school, Jack is a self-taught artist who has been working professionally since late 2015. His work is characterised by an intricate, illustrative style and inspired heavily by Western Australian native flora and fauna. After attempting to study creative based degrees at two separate universities in Western Australia, Jack left his studies to work various jobs around the Perth area. While working for an industrial cleaning company in October of 2015 and pursuing art as a hobby, Jack was given an opportunity to paint a mural on a business in Mandurah. The mural was well received and led to more public art opportunities in the South-West region as well as the Perth Metropolitan area and abroad. He is now based in Perth where he continues to evolve his public and private art practice full-time.

 

EDUCATION

  • 2009 - Graduated from Busselton Senior High School as a TEE student

  • 2011 - Completed a semester studying a Bachelor of Environmental Design/Architecture at the University of Western Australia

  • 2013 - Completed a semester of a Bachelor of Screen Arts (Film) at Curtin University
